Holy cow! I’m finally able to write about this! Our client, who originally created his first SASO sauce back in 2008, asked that we hold off writing about him until he was in full-blown production – he is very close now, so I’m going to go ahead and tell our world about him!
Our client created what may be the best tasting sauce in the world. I should preface this by saying that I love Sriracha “Rooster Sauce” a little more than the average person but, probably on par with your average foodie. And now, SASO… it pretty much blows that chicken out of the water.
SASO‘s first product to launch is SASO brand Chile Pequin Hot Sauce – a sauce that frankly, until I ran out, I was putting on pretty much everything I ate. We are so thrilled to be a part of this!! We designed the logo, the packaging and the website/blog/store. We wish Matt all the success in the world with his amazing sauces!
And a 4th of July Saso Mary? Don’t mind if I do!

A Place To Gather
Blase Design recently designed and programmed a custom WordPress website for a neighborhood restaurant (read: exquisite, farm-to-table, Italian-inspired, foodie-haven) in Reno, NV. Campo is the latest venture from Mark Estee, who created Moody’s Bistro in Truckee with JJ Morgan.
personal side note: Moody’s was a major reason that Marc and I decided we could live in Truckee for so long. When we first moved to town we were missing the big-city-like food experience and just in the nick of time Moody’s opened up and we were lucky enough to experience the first soft-opening tasting night – it was a revelation. And Moody’s soon became a second home. Now, that Mark has opened Campo we have even more reason to get back to our second home in Truckee as often as we can.
We designed the logo, stationery, helped with menus and designed and programmed the website. This site allows the client to blog, embed videos, post all press, as well as edit all content throughout the site. It’s a custom WordPress design that we created, providing an affordable way for Campo to manage their site as often as they need.
Apart from building a beautiful place to be and cooking delicious food — Campo, at just nine days in, is building a brand that transcends their look and product. This recent blog post from the chef/owner is testament to their commitment to creating a long lasting relationship with their customers. By listening, adapting, and being transparent in that effort, they endear themselves to their immediate and extended community in the short and, more importantly, the long term. I am so proud to be a part of the Campo community.
